Gibbstown Memorial Park Dog Park

The dog park at Gibbstown Memorial Park in Gloucester County is a true neighborhood gem. Tucked right behind the gazebo along Memorial Avenue, this off leash area offers a clean and welcoming environment for local pups and their owners to socialize. Memorial Park itself has a rich history of community spirit, serving as a central gathering place for town residents and pet owners over the years.

If you are expecting a massive, sprawling facility, you might be a little surprised. This is a very straightforward, single section, fully fenced grass lot measuring roughly 30 by 60 feet. Both small and large breeds share this single play area, so your dog should be comfortable mingling with pups of all sizes. The community of owners here is known for being incredibly friendly and responsible with waste cleanup, making it a wonderful and low key spot for a quick stop. Locals often leave behind a few chew toys or tennis balls for visiting dogs to enjoy.

To be completely honest about the experience, the park covers the bare minimums but lacks a few key comforts. The township provides waste bags, trash receptacles, and a couple of benches. However, there is absolutely no shade. The park also does not have a running water fountain for dogs, though visitors occasionally find rainwater in a sunken birdbath. You will absolutely need to bring your own water bowl and fresh water to keep your dog hydrated.

According to township rules, the park is open daily from sunrise to sunset. You can bring up to three dogs per person, and all dogs must be at least six months old, licensed, and fully vaccinated.
