Sea Isle City Dog Park

If you are looking for a fantastic spot to let your pup run loose off the beach, Sea Isle City Dog Park is an absolute gem. Opened recently in May 2024, this park was built in response to dog owners asking for a safe play space during the summer months when local beaches restrict dog access. Thanks to funding from the Cape May County Open Spaces Board, it is now a permanent, year-round haven for our canine best friends.

Park Features & Experience

When you visit, you will find a well-maintained, double-gated facility located right at 700 Landis Avenue. It is completely free to enter with no pass required. The park is thoughtfully divided into two separate, fully fenced enclosures: one for large breeds and another dedicated entirely to small dogs, so everyone can play safely with pups their own size.

One of the standout features here is the playground equipment. Instead of just an empty field, the park includes dedicated agility fixtures like ramps, hurdles, and play tunnels. It is a great way to help your dog burn off extra energy. When it is time for a break, the park offers two shaded pavilions with benches for owners, plus doggie water stations to keep the pups hydrated. They even provide complimentary scoop bags.

As a pet enthusiast, I always appreciate honesty, so here is what you really need to know before you go: the ground surface is entirely sand. While it gives the park a great coastal feel, your dog will definitely be bringing the beach back to your car. You will want to bring some thick towels or seat covers for the ride home. Also, keep in mind that the park strictly prohibits food, glass, and alcohol, and requires all dogs to be properly licensed and immunized.
