It has become a true community staple, even hosting fun local events like doggie photos with Santa during the holidays.

What to Expect

Honesty is the best policy when planning a trip with your dog. Deptford Doggie Park is a straightforward and well loved community spot. It is completely free to enter and features a fully fenced open field with a secure double gated entrance. The ground is a mix of natural grass, dirt, and sand. Because it is such a popular hub for playdates, the dirt sections can get dusty in the heat or muddy after a rainstorm, so bringing a towel for your car is highly recommended!

The park is thoughtfully designed with separate spaces. There is a large open area for big dogs to socialize, alongside a completely separate fenced section dedicated to smaller pups. If you have a working breed or a high energy dog, you will love the agility equipment scattered around the park, including training ramps and hoops.

Amenities here are solid. The park provides a water fountain and a water pump. That pump is incredibly handy for giving your dog a quick rinse before the ride home. There are plenty of colorful, decorative benches situated in shaded areas, giving pet parents a comfortable place to sit and socialize.
